Know what you’re sending
Most companies monitor all information sent thought their computers. This monitoring is not limited to e-mails. In some cases company computers have monitoring software built in that will tell them any thing from what web sites you visited to every key stroke made on that computer.
The important thing is to know what you’re sending. Something as simple as telling your friend in a IM that your boss is making eyes at the woman at the next desk, could end up on your boss’ desk the next day. It could also be a violation of your terms of employment and cause you to be fired.
As with any computer, you should never be accessing illegal material or doing any illegal activity. But doing so while work can cause additional heartache. That information can be made public or distributed throughout your co-workers. Now on top of the illegal activity you can add public humiliation.
The bottom line is when in doubt, don’t send it out.

Blog and online dating
In an article I wrote I took a through look into Blogging services and Online Dating services. The findings were a little shocking.
It is very important for that you take the much needed precautions needed when dealing with people online.
For Blogging:
No matter if your a blogger or someone posting a comment. Always know the age of the person that you are dealing with. Never assume that the age in the profile is what fact. Use common sense. you know how people in your age group talk, the topics that they deal with and the way they present themselves. If this does not all add up, KEEP AWAY! Also never be afraid to ask someone their age. Even if it is posted in their profile. See if the answer matches what is posted. You might be surprised at what you find.
For Online Dating:
The same general rules for blogging apply. But there are additional rules you should set. Never meet anyone from the internet, unless you have had extensive contact with them and feel you fully know their intent as well as their personal information. Also should you ever decide to meet someone from the internet. Always do so in a public place. Somewhere that should things not go well, you will be safe and be able to get away with little or no problems.
It is up to us to take our own safety serious and use caution. If we do not, we will become one of the statistics and that is not what going for an evening out is about.
